100% authentic marriage proposal, right here in Alberta

When I was asked to help this groom out with his proposal, I was instantly on board. Engagement photos and video are one thing, but to be there and record an actual proposal? Wowzers! I am there. It did take some planning between the two of us. For one, I did not know where he would prefer to have it shot, and he was unsure himself until they had another look around. To try and communicate that to each other while his soon to be fiancée was always part of the conversation proved a challenge. I had to be subtle, probably looking like Oscar the grouch with one too many hands up his kilt, but we figured it out. My goal here is to repeat some of the shots taken, frame for frame and transition from winter to summer. I want to use this as a visual metaphor for the progression in the relationship. It is wonderful here in my head and I can’t wait for the summer to give this a go!

We also wanted to create a movie poster for both a save the date as well as a “Now Playing” poster to display at the somewhat movie themed wedding. I absolutely love it when I am allowed to unleash my creativity and the July 3 2020 wedding will be one to remember!
