The Michalaks August Alberta Wedding Highlight

Every time I am asked to do a wedding I come away from it a better person. I fall in love with families, each one of them. I have to, it is impossible for me to spend an entire day, or weekend with a family, record them at their happiest. Then, relive each of those moments over and over in my editing software. So much love, everywhere, It coats me, and affects me to my core. Even the moments not caught on camera are etched into my soul. Or those that hit the cutting room floor. The time when Jill and Nathan just disappeared after the ceremony, a little time alone. That wasn’t in the 14 page itinerary Jill. Or when Marcus and Leanna just cut the cake, then left it. That’s it, just one cut, not a slice of cake, one that you could eat, just one thin cut, barely visible in the frosting. Cake cut, CHECK! The super rare imported bourbon, the surprise messages, the love notes, the secret vows. :) How could someone bear witness to all this and not take some of that love and come away a changed man? Well, it didn’t prepare me for this, you see, this couple is MY family, I am already in love with them (Some :)). I have watched Leah grow from a butt scooting baby to an amazing and beautiful young woman. I wasn’t prepared to have to relive this footage over, and over. But I am super glad you trusted me with your day! I hope you like your little highlight film you two! Love you, Uncle Greg and Auntie Michelle.
